My name is Ashley and I'm the owner/operator of Eye Spy Something Pretty, a local and online retail shop for all things pretty

The history

I was raised in 100 Mile House, a quaint and quiet town in the Cariboo, in the heart of beautiful, British Columbia. I grew up with big dreams to one day work for myself. With the most amazing parents supporting me, I set off in the big, big world with my dreams and my suitcase. I attended Okanagan University College in Kelowna where I earned my Bachelors Degree in accounting. Turns out, an accountant I am not. I’ve spent my entire adult working life in the service industry and I absolutely love it. I’m passionate about people and service is rooted deep in my bones. I branched out into body care and aesthetics services and earned many certificates in the field. I will continue to learn and grow in this industry.

Here’s where the biggest adventure of my life starts…..
my family.

I met my partner, Lino, in 2014 and we moved fast! Our son Enzo was born in 2015 and Vinny arrived in 2017.

We moved to Kamloops to improve our quality of life and be closer to family. I knew I wanted to build something that would support my family and allow me to be present in our daily life. I wanted flexibility to be available when my family needed me. I also wanted to express the entrepreneur inside me and push myself to follow my dreams.

While bouncing ideas off my sister, my bestie, and partner in crime, she threw out the name Eye Spy Something Pretty and it was perfect! She keeps me on track when my creative mind goes crazy! She’s also the one who makes the beautiful bracelets in the shop!

I had my personal care services and I was exploring ways to expand my business and the idea of retail came to life. I jumped in feet first and haven’t looked back!
