The First

Welcome to my first blog post!!

Wow…this feels surreal. Sitting down at my desk to write my first blog post.  This is something I have been dreaming of, planning for, stockpiling ideas and photos for and its beyond exciting to be finally putting my proverbial pen to paper.  EEK!!  I’ve expressed this dream of mine to my closest friends and family and they have been so encouraging and supportive, so you guys (and you know who you are!) THIS ONE’S FOR YOU!!

‘So what’s your blog going to be about?’ they all asked.  Well, if you know me at all then you know that I change my mind more often than my underwear (such a weird saying but I’ve always liked it!) So here’s just a hint of what you’ll find on my blog.

• Anything DIY and believe me when I say nothing is off limits! I love a good challenge and an opportunity to learn a new skill, fire up my hot glue gun or bust out a can of spray paint!! Inside projects, outside projects and everything in between. I hope you’ll find inspiration for your own projects!
• RECIPES!!!! I love to cook, bake and experiment with all things food!! One day I’ll tell you about my COVID sour dough OBSESSION!! I hope to share some of my favorite recipes both old and new!
• BOOKS!!!! I’m an avid reader ( since 2021 LOL!). I’ve always loved to read but making the time seemed impossible or at least it certainly did not rank high on my priority list.  Well this year saw a major shift in my screen time (useless screen time that is)  and I filled that time with books, hard cover, audio or e-books, I love all the media types!
• Health, beauty, fashion and whatever fits under that huge umbrella of a category! I’m a girly girl at heart and I love a good bath bomb, face mask or hairstyle to try! I’m working on the physical health part so hopefully you can take part in my journey!!
• ALL THINGS FEMALE!!! I would consider myself a feminist and I have some pretty strong opinions and feelings on the subject. I’m open to sharing and learning on the subject and look forward to some honest conversations in the future!

Let’s talk parenting and lifestyle, travelling, finances and getting old!  Let’s talk local and global, past, present and future.  Literally nothing is off the table with this blog.
